Cathy Cain-Blank, president of CC Marketing and Communications, Inc., has spent 22 years helping small businesses grow market share by increasing the effectiveness of their marketing communications. She’s counseled and provided creative and strategic services to a variety of organizations, including manufacturers, retailers, non-profit associations and family businesses.
In 1997 Cathy joined the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) as Director of Marketing. Her team was responsible for trade show exhibits, award programs, public relations, promoting the company’s expansive array of products and services and more. Shortly after her arrival, Cathy was tapped by ASI’s Editorial Department and has written more than 25 columns and feature stories for Counselor and IMPRINT (now Successful Promotions) magazines.
In January 2002, Cathy relocated from Pennsylvania to Chicago and formed CC Marketing and Communications, Inc. In the fall of 2003, the company jumped into the e-communications field with the introduction of The Brand News, a then monthly e-zine for distributors sponsored by 12 leading suppliers. In June 2005, the company launched Keep in Touch E-Newsletters for distributors.
Today CC Marketing offers an array of e-communications -- newsletters, flyers, special reports and cards -- with the goal of enabling small- to mid-sized promotional products companies to effectively communicate their offerings via e-mail. (On occasion, the firm will produce print communications.)
The CC creative team consists of Cathy Cain-Blank; web designer/web master Steven Harte; graphic designer Eleni Swengler; marketing/production coordinators Lynda Gallico and Cyndy Mycoskie; and copywriter Tonia Kimbrough.
